Question: My husband and I fight over small things a lot. This has always been true for us. We never seem to be able to just settle things nicely. I am ashamed to admit how often I lose my temper with him for stupid things. Just to give you an example: the other day, I asked him to pick up lettuce on his way home from work. When he gets home, he actually bought kale. It became a big deal, like everything does. I felt so mad that after I got on his case about it, we didn't even talk the rest of the night. It's not just me though, he does it right back over stuff that doesn't really matter. I know it's dumb, but I don't know how to break the cycle.
